A Level: Accounting

Students will build knowledge and understanding of key concepts, principles and techniques that they can apply to real-life scenarios, developing the ability to solve problems logically, analyse data methodically, make reasoned choices and communicate their findings effectively.

Course content includes analysis and evaluation of financial information, budgeting, accounting for limited companies, capital investment appraisal, and preparation of financial statements.

This A Level is a useful qualification, whether used professionally or personally, and an excellent complementary subject to Business, Economics or Maths.

Two x 3 hour exams

Minimum Entry Requirements

• All Loughborough College Sixth Form courses have minimum entry requirements of at least five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English Language and Maths.

Subject Specific Entry Requirements

• GCSE English Language and Maths at grade 5.

Upon completion of A Level Accounting, you will be prepared for further study at university or to explore options to study professional qualifications such as AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA or CIOT.
