A- Level: Design and Technology (Product Design)

Challenging and Diverse! Design and Technology makes a unique contrition to the development of the young people by preparing them to participate in, and think creatively about opportunities to improve the quality of tomorrows rapidly changing technologies.

AQA’s new specification in Product Design provides candidates with exciting opportunities to develop their capabilities. They will be encouraged to take broad views of Design and Technology.

Through designing and making products, candidates will learn to appreciate the complex relations between design, materials, manufacture and marketing.

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Design and Technology, which could lead onto higher education in areas of and design or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to design and technology.
