Course Summary
A-Level History has been designed to help the students understand the significance of historical events, the role of individuals in history and the nature of change over time. The qualification will help students gain a deeper understanding of the past through political, social, economic and cultural perspectives.
Course Details
Topics studied in the syllabus include:
- Tudors 1485 - 1603
- Includes: Henry VII, Henry VIII, Edward VI, Mary I and Elizabeth I
- Democracy and Nazism: Germany 1918 - 1945
- Includes: Establishment of Weimar, The Golden Age of Weimar, the Collapse of Democracy, Nazi Dictatorship, the Racial State and the Impact of World War Two.
- NEA - Civil Rights in America in the 1950's and 60's
Entry requirements
General entry requirements including at least a 4 in the relevant subject, if taken.
