How will it be delivered and assessed?
Psychology is a linear course which means students will sit their A Level examinations at the end of year 2. Students are expected to conduct research in year 1 and 2. Although this does not contribute towards their final grade it does directly prepare them for the “investigating behaviour” examination.
If you’re curious about why people think, feel, and behave the way they do, Psychology could be the perfect subject for you. This course is ideal for students who enjoy asking big questions, thinking critically, and exploring human behaviour through a scientific lens.
You’ll dive into fascinating topics like memory, mental health, and social influence—while developing skills in analysis, research, and essay writing. A solid grasp of Biology and Maths will be helpful, as you’ll explore the science behind the mind and behaviour. If you're inquisitive, analytical, and eager to understand what makes people tick, this course will keep you engaged from the very first lesson.
Entry requirements
