A Level Spanish

A Level Spanish will extend your understanding of Spanish vocabulary and grammar, developing your ability to speak like a native.

Students who have studied Spanish at JC6 have gone onto gain a degree in Spanish from Oxford University!

The course is based around a range of topical issues, which you’ll study in Spanish. Good knowledge of Spanish society and culture will follow your work on literary texts and films.

As part of their course, JC6 students benefit from our strong relationship with local Universities. While studying Spanish at JC6, we always endeavour to provide unique opportunities for our students, with groups previously having the opportunity to attend lectures at Warwick University, shadow a language student and tour their campus.

In addition to this, JC6 students also have the opportunity to volunteer as mentors for GCSE students at Hinckley Academy. This is great experience to add to a CV or personal statement.

Assessment: is through listening, reading, speaking and written examinations at the end of the course.

Subject Entry: General JC6 entry requirements, plus grade 6 or above in GCSE Spanish.

Studying a language can open doors in many areas, including Law, Business, Journalism and even Sports related careers, giving you an edge on other candidates and the opportunity to travel the world.
