This engaging programme is aimed at students who are interested in an introduction into the study of creating IT systems to manage and share information.



Course Details

Students will study 4 units over the 2 years. These are Information Technology Systems, Creating Systems to Manage Information, Using Social Media in Business and Website Development.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course has both externally and internally assessed units.

External - Information Technology Systems (2hr written examination), Creating Systems to Manage Information (10 hour practical examination).

Internal - Using Social Media in Business, Website Development (all coursework)

Entry requirements

2 Level 5's and 4 Level 4’s and above to include BTEC Level 2 in Information Communication Technology – Pass or GCSE Computer Studies Level 4, if taken. Access to a computer is essential.
