The cost of £1000 includes use of the training kit and also match day kit. Lunches will be provided on a daily basis. Players will also get use of all of our on site facilities.

Course Summary

The Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development is intended for post-16 learners wanting to progress to employment, including self-employment, in sports coaching and development roles. It is also suitable for those wishing to progress to higher education, where learners would have the added advantage of using this qualification to obtain part-time employment in sports coaching while studying.



Course Details

Learners taking this qualification will study seven mandatory units and five optional units. The mandatory units are:

Applied Coaching Skills

Research Project in Sport

School Sport Delivery

Technical and Tactical Skills in Sport

Sporting Injuries

Rules, Regulations and Officiating in Sport

In year 2, you will complete another 8 units (6 mandatory and 2 optional

Entry requirements

We recommend you have five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, one being in English or Maths, to be best suited for this programme. You may also hold a relevant Level 2 qualification, plus an ability to operate at Level 2 in either English or Maths.

The National Extended Diploma is a two-year, full-time course and will provide the following UCAS points:

P – 48, M – 96, D – 144, D* – 168

Most universities will accept the BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma for entry onto degree courses without any additional Level 3 qualifications as long as the required grade is achieved.
