City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Barbering

This full-time programme of study builds on the skills gained at Level 2. You will learn the art of men�s hair and facial hair, wet shaving and hair and scalp massage techniques, whilst exploring current and emerging trends within the Barbering industry.

You will study towards the following units:

• Health and safety
• Consultation
• Cut men�s hair
• Cut facial hair
• Specialist hair and scalp massage (Level 4 unit)
• Wet shaving
• Financial effectiveness
• Creative patterns in the hair (Level 4 unit)
  

• A Level 2 in Barbering or a Level 3 in Hairdressing, plus GCSE (or Functional Skills) English and maths at grade C/4

You will also need to purchase a dolly head and barbering kit if you do not already have one. This can be purchased through the College as a kit at a cost.

Upon completion of this course, you can further your skills by progressing on to additional short specialist courses, or by entering the Barbering industry, self-employment as a barber or session barber, assessor or trainer.
