Course Summary

Trans4m’s construction centre offers training in three trades:

Bricklaying – You’ll learn the basics of trowel operations, mixing sand and laying bricks. Walls have to be constructed with precision so there’s a bit of maths in there, but don’t worry! You’ll get all the help you need to build a range of walls with corners, vents and even archways.

Painting and Decorating – We have doors, panels and walls set up for you to practice applying paint. You will also get a chance to measure, cut and hang wallpaper in our workshops.

Carpentry and Joinery - Our carpentry training covers a range of woodwork skills and you will craft a range of joints and fittings. You will work towards a final project that combines all of the skills gained, such as a birdhouse or kennel.

You can specialise in one trade, or become master of all three!
