Course Summary
The Level 1 course equips students with the foundational knowledge and practical skills to progress onto a higher level course or into an Apprenticeship.
Course Details
Modules include:
Safe working practices
Communication
Environmental protection measures
Scientific principles within building services engineering
Copper pipe fabrication work
Low carbon steel pipe fabrication work
Techniques for installing and securing plumbing pipework
Work Experience
You will also complete the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment which, upon full completion, will enable you to apply for a Construction Operative Card, which enables you to work on site in industry.
Entry requirements
GCSE English and Maths at grade 3 or above
