Course Summary

Business support is needed by organisations globally. Start on this exciting career with our T level, which is equivalent to 3 A levels. After your finish you could move straight into employment with the practical skills and knowledge you will have gained or continue in your education. You will develop the core knowledge and skills that are needed for entry to a range of management and administration occupations. You will learn in the classroom for 80% of your time and spend 20% on an industry placement to give insights into your chosen path and the opportunity to embed what you have learnt at college.

Course Details

Students will develop an understanding of a broad range of issues relevant to the sector, including: Business context � an overview of organisational cultures and values, different types of internal and external stakeholder, different forms of governance and the impact of organisations on society and the environment Project and change management � an understanding of the common change management theories and models and how to support and improve projects Business behaviours � the importance of good communication and adapting social communication styles to professional standards and according to purpose, medium and audience Quality and compliance � the importance of maintaining and improving quality in all aspects of public and private sector organisations 1: Support the running of the organisation 2: Organise and prioritise workloads and processes 3: Recommend and deliver improvements to business practices 4: Build and maintain positive internal and external stakeholder relationships 5: Manage the business information flow

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will be assessed via a variety of formal methods during your course plus assessments such as external exams, controlled assessments, an employer-led set project, and summarise?your?learning through practical assignments.? This will generate an overall grade of pass, merit, distinction, or distinction*. You will be awarded a nationally recognised certificate which will show a breakdown of what you have achieved and can be worth up to 168 UCAS points.?

Entry requirements

T levels are only for students who will be 16-18 on 31 August of the year they start the course. You should have 5 GCSEs including math and English. Alternative equivalent qualifications will be considered. We will work with you before you start with us to see if you have any specific training needs, or require support and guidance, and make sure that this is the right qualification for you.
