You may be wondering what a T level in business is, what you will learn, and how it will benefit you. The T level in team leading and management starts you down the path of a well-rounded businessperson with progression routes directly into university, apprenticeships or the workplace.

Designed to develop skill as well as knowledge, the T level in team leading and management boasts a brilliant balance between theory and application allowing you to contextualise your learning. With relatable delivery of subjects and embedded work placement hours, you will get a chance to take what you learn in the classroom and experience it in practice, providing you with all you need to thrive in the world of business.

Industry Placements are a mandatory part of T Level qualifications, designed to provide you with practical, hands-on experience in your industry of study. These placements last a minimum of 315 hours and make up 20% of your course time. The aim is to bridge the gap between classroom learning and the real-world demands of the workplace. You will have the opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a practical setting, gaining valuable insights and skills that are directly relevant to your vocational area. You will have an Industry Placement Advisor who will work with you throughout the entire placement process, from preparation sessions, support to source a placement, and reviewing and monitoring your progress whilst in placement. Business behaviours

Policies and procedures

Along with this valuable knowledge and experience, you will gain all important skills that will give you an extra step to success. Including:

Presentation skills
Communication skills
Computer literacy
Confidence

How will it be delivered and assessed?

The course is all externally assessed by our awarding body, and you will complete assessment activities such as exams, projects, and assignments, all of which will contribute to an overall achievement of the T-Level.

Entry requirements

You will need to have GCSE Maths and English at grade 4, as well as 3 other GCSEs at grade 4 or above.

Equipment required

No specialist equipment is required but you might want to decide how you’d like to take notes.

Your next steps...

The skills and knowledge you will have gained on this course could lead you straight into a career in team leadership/ management. You could also progress on to further study at the college with our HND in Business or look at other universities as this course carries up-to 168 UCAS points. There is also the option of higher-level apprentices if you wish to study and earn.
