Course Summary

Our T Level in Children�s Nursing is an exciting qualification that gives you the knowledge, skills, and experience to begin your journey towards a rewarding career supporting children and young people�s health and wellbeing. For 80% of the T level, you learn core scientific concepts and key regulations in the classroom. With this knowledge, you�ll start a 45-day placement in your chosen pathway. You�ll work on an employer-set project, allowing you to explore your career as an adult healthcare assistant. You�ll also engage in activities that build your personal skills, like character and confidence. This will support you in living well and advancing in your chosen career.

Course Details

You learn how the industry works and explore various healthcare roles. You also discover the diverse employers and organizations you could join. Your friendly tutors introduce you to the contexts, theories, and principles essential to health and science. By the end of year one, you will understand core scientific concepts and key regulations. This includes managing information, health and safety, and good scientific and clinical practices. You learn how the industry works and explore various healthcare roles. How will it be delivered and assessed?

Formal assessments happen over two years. These include external exams, controlled assessments, practical summary assignments, and an employer-led project. These assessments combine to give an overall grade: pass, merit, distinction, or distinction*. At the end of your T level, you get a nationally recognised certificate. It shows a clear breakdown of your achievements. The T level can earn you up to 168 UCAS points.

Entry requirements

To be accepted onto the Health and Science T Level, you must be aged 16�18 on 31 August in the year you start the course and have five GCSEs at grade 4 or higher, including maths, English, and double science.
