Course Details

In Year 12, students will explore the key business functions: marketing, operations, finance and human resource management in the context of real business situations. This includes a specific focus on leadership and decision-making – particularly the interdependent nature of business decisions. In Year 13, students will go on to develop their understanding of strategic decision-making processes undertaken by businesses across the globe. This new A Level course also uncovers how businesses impact society through concepts such as sustainability, CSR and governance.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Exam Board: AQA

Assessment: Three equally weighted 2-hour written exams, each worth 90 marks, are taken at the end of the two-year course. One paper is standalone and the remaining two are synoptic.
