Course Summary
This qualification aims to develop student’s knowledge and skills of the principles of Sport and Physical Activity. You will gain an insight into the sector as you investigate the opportunities for delivering sessions to a wide range of participants in a safe and professional environment. You will gain core skills required for employment or further study in the sector such as communication, analysis, organisation and adaptation. The qualification focuses on the requirements that universities and employers demand.

Unit 1 - 90 mins Exam Paper
Unit 2 - Externally moderated Coursework
Unit 3 - 60 mins Exam Paper
8 30 min coaching sessions

Entry requirements
Students will be expected to have met St Paul’s entry requirements of 2 Grade 5’s and 4 Grade 4’s. A minimum of grade 4 in English and Maths is essential for all courses.

A qualification in Sports and Activity can lead to many degree courses such as a number of sports degrees, it can also prepare you for areas that require a scientific background such as sports injuries, therapy and massage, sports psychology, physiology and biomechanics, and physical education teaching.
