Wanting a career as a Beauty Therapist, Spa Therapist, or even travel the world on a cruise ship?

Our Beauty Therapy Level 2 course will help you to develop and learn to be the best therapist you can be. Our expert tutors will teach you how to carry out manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, eye treatments and more. Students also benefit from guest lectures and workshops to further develop your training and help you stand out from the crowd.

It is essential to have kit and uniform for this course to maintain professional standards. This will cost approximately �55 for uniform and �115 for kit.

Working in the Beauty industry

Anatomy and Physiology for Beauty Therapists

Client care and communication

Promotion of products and services

Creating an image based on a theme within the Beauty sector

Learn how to perform teatments including: facials, manicures, pedicures, lashes and brows, waxing, eye treatments and make-up application.

Health and safety

Reception Duties

Theory knowledge for all units and evaluations

Work placement

Working in the Beauty industry

Client care and communication

Promotion of products and services

Learn how to perform teatments including: facials, manicures, pedicures, lashes and brows, threading, lash tinting, waxing, eye treatments, head massage and tanning

Health and safety

Work placement

Additoinal enrichment courses such as lash lift and tint, ear piercing and brow lamination will ensure you are on trend and ready to work in industry.

During the course you will also be given the opportunity to attend master class workshops and employer involvement activities. These can include visits, make-up demonstrations, beauty exhibitions, competitions and lectures from industry experts. Work experience is an important part of the course giving you an opportunity to develop employability skills and build your confidence in carrying out a range of treatments.

We also work with Ragdale Hall Spa, providing work experience and enrichment for Beauty Therapy students, with many of our alumni having gone on to work at the spa.. Ragdale Hall recognises the college as a 'Platinum College of Excellence' for our work in educating high quality Beauty Therapists.

Entry requirements

4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, incluing Maths and English

Your next steps...

Students can progress onto a Level 3 course in Beauty Therapy, or move into full-time or self-employment performing a range of beauty treatments. Students can gain employment in a variety of beauty therapy settings, including salons, cosmetic companies, hotels or health clubs.
