Course Summary

The Level 2 course builds on the essential knowledge, skills and experience gained by at Level 1, equipping you with the ability to progress onto a higher level course or into a Gas Apprenticeship.

Course Details

Modules include:

Safe working practices

Communication

Application of environmental protection measures

Scientific principles within Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Site preparation and pipework fabrication

Domestic cold water system installation and maintenance

Domestic hot water system installation and maintenance

Domestic central heating system installation and maintenance

Domestic rainwater system installation and maintenance

Domestic above ground drainage system installation and maintenance

Work Experience

You will also complete the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment, upon full completion this enables you to apply for a construction operative card, enabling you to work on site within the industry.

Entry requirements

GCSE English at grade 3 or above and GCSE Maths at grade 4 or above
