Course Summary
A Level Biology focuses on the detailed study of living things in the world around us. Biology students consider controversial scientific issues and look at how science contributes to our economy and our society.
Biology combines well with other science subjects, as well as social sciences such as Psychology, Sociology and Physical Education.

• Module 1 – Development of practcal skills in biology
• Module 2 – Foundatons in biology
• Module 3 – Exchange and transport
• Module 4 – Biodiversity, evoluton and disease
• Module 5 – Communicaton, homeostasis and energy
• Module 6 – Genetcs, evoluton and ecosystems
How will it be delivered and assessed?
3 terminal exam papers & practical endorsement:
1. Biological processes 100 marks (2hrs 15 mins)
2. Biological diversity 100 marks (2hrs 15 mins)
3. Unified biology 70 marks (1hr 30 mins)
4. Practical endorsement

Combined science 6/6, Triple science: Biology 6 (Plus 6 in either Chemistry or Physics), Mathematics 5
