Course Summary

The course is aimed at developing students’ skills around the four preparing for adulthood themes: Independent living skills, community inclusion, good health and employability skills.

Supported work experience opportunities and travel training are built into the course.

This course is for three days a week.


Course Details

A key part of the course is students accessing the local community, visiting Tesco, Thurmaston Shopping Centre, RSPCA, City Centre and taking part in different leisure activities.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

You will develop a celebration folder / progress of skills. At the beginning of the course you will complete a baseline of assessments and from this small progress steps and goals will be set. Work logs, witness statements and completed work will capture your progress with skills.

Entry requirements

To access the course you need to show you are working at entry level.
