Course Summary
This course is designed to help you prepare for a range of different career paths in the child and healthcare sector. It is a mix of childcare and health and social care to help you build your skills and understanding of the types of things you will be doing in either area.
You will learn all the key skills of caring for children and young people; including working in nurseries and building your understanding of children from birth to seven years old. You will also look at care for the elderly, care of those with special needs and how to work with families.
To help you learn these skills, you will spend time not just in the classroom but in our training nursery and two training hospital wards. You will start to gain knowledge of a range of resources that you will expect to see the workplace before you spend time on work experience later in the year.
