Course Summary

This course is intended for students who wish to explore their interest in the Hairdressing sector. The course will help you to gain an insight into the industry, as well as learn useful basic skills and relevant background knowledge.

Course Details

Work during this course is of a practical nature and learners will complete assignment tasks that involve researching information about the industry, exploring trends and fashions in the Hair and Beauty sector.

How will it be delivered and assessed?

Modules

Client care and communication, shampooing and conditioning, styling, plaiting and twisting, health and safety, creative images, dressing hair, colourng hair and salon reception. This course is heavily theory based with a number of assignments to complete as well as practical assessments to give an excellent foundation of knowledge and skills in order to progress to Level 2 Hairdressing.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements are 3 GCSE at grade 3 or above
