Course Summary

This is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations and activities. It introduces you to the types of provision in the Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s sectors. There will be an opportunity to spend four weeks in work placements relevant to your chosen career.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements are 2 GCSE at Grade E/2 or above or an Entry 3 qualification.

Equipment required

You will require stationery equipment, uniform, which is to be worn whilst in a practical child care placement, and textbooks.
