Level 2 Beauty Therapy

This course is intended for students who wish to explore their interest in the Beauty sector. The course will help you to gain an insight into the industry, as well as learn useful basic skills and relevant background knowledge. Students are given the opportunity to work in a realistic beauty salon environment in order to complete their practical assessments.

Work during this course is of a practical nature and learners will complete assigned tasks to obtain knowledge and understanding of beauty techniques such as eye treatments, facial, manicure, pedicure and waxing, including anatomy and physiology and health and safety, as well as completing a multitude of practical assessments through application of the techniques in a real salon working environment. It is primarily aimed at developing employability skills for salon or spa work.

Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade D/3 or above or a relevant Level 1 qualification.

The qualification offers progression opportunities such as: Level 3 VRQ or NVQ in Beauty Therapy, Level 2 VRQ Diploma in Basic Beauty Massage and Complementary Therapies, Level 2 NVQ or VRQ in Hairdressing.
