Level 2 Certificate in Nail technology & Cosmetic Make-up

The Level 2 Certificate in Nail Technology and Cosmetic Make-up is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills by covering the following units: manicure, nail art, nail enhancements, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, make-up, lash lift, client care and health and safety. The core elements of this programme include your core vocational qualification, English and/ or Maths (if required), experiences of work and tutorial sessions. Underpinning this qualification, you will develop a sound knowledge of health and safety practice and anatomy & physiology. You will also develop your communication skills, ready for RWE.

You will also develop knowledge and understanding of the practical skills learned throughout this qualification. The purpose of this qualification is to develop your skills in beauty therapy to a high level of occupational ability, enabling you to perform your own salon services.

You will also be required to participate in the following work experience: Macmillan Coffee morning, Oakwood School, Ashton Care home.

The college will also provide further enrichment activities, which you will participate in and record on The Box.

You will also complete – Gelore’ Gel Polish Training with Erin from Nail Gaga. Owner of Tweezers Beauty Salon & Training Academy.
