Course Summary

The Level 2 Diploma in Sport covers the key knowledge and practical skills required in the sport and fitness industry. It gives learners a solid foundation in the planning and application of exercise skills through a practical lens, whilst also developing the essential skills required for employment, career progression, or progression to further qualifications and training.

This is a one-year course, and upon successful completion, you may progress to Level 3.

Unit 2 Anatomy and Physiology for Exercise
Unit 3: Introduction to healthy exercise and nutrition
Unit 4 Sports Coaching
Unit 5 Developing Sporting Skills and Tactical Awareness
Unit 6 Strength and Conditioning
Unit 7 Development of Personal Fitness through Training
GCSE English (if applicable)
GCSE Maths (if applicable)

Entry requirements

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at Grade 3 or above (1 MUST be English or Maths)

Equipment required

Learners are required to purchase an NWSLC T-shirt/ Sports Kit Payment towards end of year trips/ visits
