If you are considering a career in the exciting world of fashion, this course will give a realistic insight into the industry. You will learn from highly experience tutors who will help you to develop your style and design skills.

Alongside the course, students will get the opportunity to go on field trips to Museums and Fashion events to help develop their understanding of the industry. You will be based at our specialist Creative campus at Hinckley and have access to an impressive sewing room and the latest design software in our tech suites.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements are 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above.

One of the four GCSEs must be English or Maths.

One of the four GCSEs must be an arts-based subject, such as art, textiles, design technology, or photography.

If you were unable to take an arts-based GCSE, we would like you to provide a portfolio of work to demonstrate your arts skills.

For progressing learners, a double Merit at Level 2 is required for automatic progression onto Level 3.

Equipment required

Learners will be supplied with an equipment list which can be bought from the college shop.

Your next steps...

The programme provides a nationally recognised qualification for those who wish to move on to Higher Education at Degree or HND level. Students may progress onto the HND in Design for Fashion and Textiles at the College. It also provides good opportunities for those wishing to enter the fashion industry or set up their own business.
