Level 3 Health & Social Care

The Health and Social Care sector plays an important part of our society. The level 3 course is equivalent to A-levels and lets you learn through a mixture of practical and theory methods. You will be able to learn in an environment that reflects the working Health & Social care industry, learning about working practices, employability skills, practical skills and much more. This course can help you to create a positive bond with the people you are caring for, the requirements needed to be safe, practical skills and a range of skills for you to apply to different client groups.

You will study a range of mandatory units including: Human Development; Working in Health and Social Care; Meeting Individual Care and Support Needs; Principles of Safe Practice in Health and Social Care Optional units include:; Work Experience in Health and Social Care; Psychological Perspectives; And an additional range of optional units.

Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade C/4 (or above) or a relevant Level 2 qualification. Must include English Language GCSE at grade C/4 minimum.

On completion, there are a variety of outcomes that you can explore as this qualification enables you to apply for employment, higher education, and apprenticeships. It is possible for you to progress your education and/or training to further specialist courses such as in Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Criminology, Speech and Language Therapist, Occupational Therapist and more.
