This programme focuses on music technology within the area of production. The course is aimed at students who do not wish to play an instrument or take the performance route but are keen to have a career in the more technical side of the music industry.

Therefore you do not necessarily need instrumental knowledge to be successful on this programme however you will be developing a wider understanding of musical theories to support your work within technology.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements are 4 GCSE at Grade C/4 or above or a relevant Level 2 qualification. Learners will also be assessed on instrumental abilities during the audition process (Music performance pathway). At least a C/4 in English.
