This course is for learners looking to study performing arts as a one-year, full-time course and supports progression onto the extended diploma in the second year.

This full-time qualification is a highly practical course which aims to develop a range of skills in singing, dancing and acting.

Plus a combination of units which support your development within acting, dancing and musical theatre.

Entry requirements

Entry requirements are 4 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above, including English. For progressing learners, a double Merit at Level 2 is required for automatic progression onto Level 3.

Equipment required

All successful applicants will need to wear, for practical classes, comfortable black T-shirts and joggers/leggings and appropriate footwear for practical work. Further details will be given out during induction week.

Your next steps...

You will then be able to progress on to the HNC/D programme or continue on to university or a conservatoire of your choice to study in your chosen pathway. A range of training opportunities in the industry will be also be open to you.
