Course Summary
Contemporary society topics (eg immigration, family, cinema...) as well as grammar. You will learn to communicate on a variety of topics in various registers and format. You will learn about French society and culture and speak with native speakers. You will develop your skills in reading, speaking, writing and listening and have lots of fun! You will also study a film and a novel as part of the course
Course Details
You will study 12 contemporary topics over the 2 years. These are : heritage and tourism, cinema, immigration, aspects of a multicultural society, criminality, exclusion, politics and young people, protest movements, music, voluntary work, new technologies and exclusion.
You will also study a film and a novel
You will conduct an individual research project for your speaking at A level. You will be able to choose any aspect of a French speaking country to base your research on.

Entry requirements
Grade 6 or above in French.
Your next steps...
You could take this course with other advanced level course or equivalent to prepare for higher education in French, Languages or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to French or Languages such as a Teacher, Translator, or you may wish to use your French to study or work over in France. The course will also help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the travel and tourism sector.
